YOUR GUIDE:

Gerry Morrison will be your Certified Captain and your Tidal Water Certified Guide when you book your charter. Gerry has commercial and sports fishing experience along with many years construction management experience. He has traveled many places, caught fish in each of the places, so the conversations will be entertaining! Captain Gerry will be your host and your Guide to coordinate a positive experience.

For larger groups, we can schedule five (5) hour morning and/or a five (5) hour afternoon trip to accommodate your plans. We can also bring on more Guide Boats to meet large group requirements. We can even take it one step further and coordinate accommodations, shuttles, tours, pub crawls or whatever you have in mind!

The Fish

Royal Bay Charters will suspend charter services in the Victoria area for 2020.
2020 Assignment is running a new Charter Fishing vessel for Jones Charters based in Haida Gwaii (Queen Charlotte Islands).  Masset Marina, Graham Island, BC Canada!

Spring (March-May)

• We will usually fish for Winter Springs (Chinook, King Salmon or Blackmouth as they are also called), and Halibut. Winter springs are generally targeted near the  bottom, using lures designed to imitate small bait fish.  These fish, averaging 5 - 20 pounds can be caught any day close vicinity of the marina.

Summer and Fall (June-October)

• For the summer season Victoria offers some of the best fishing in the Country.

• Within 15 minutes of departure from the marina, you will find some some of the best fishing grounds.

• Summer and Fall we see trophy sized Chinooks along with Pinks & late fall Coho.

• Late fall is the best time for Coho Salmon as well as winter Springs (Chinook).
